Group show at the Dowse Art Museum

‘The Future of Work’, another corker group show from the Dowse Art Museum, Wellington, New Zealand, preview 6–8pm, August 2, 2019, curated with deep thought by senior curator Melanie Oliver.

Gladly in the exhibition with super artist and dear friend Peter Wareing: we’re out of Panmure and Stoke respectively, a bond!

Others of course: Liz Allan, Berwick Street Collective, Bruce Connew, Harun Farocki, Kauri Hawkins, Fiona Jack, Darcy Lange, Elizabeth Pointon, Public Share, Deborah Rundle, Allen Sekula & Noël Burch, Jon Vea and Peter Wareing.

My work will surface from the Dowse’s permanent collection (thank you past-director James Mack, long passed, not forgotten), several works from my 1981/1986 underground coalminers series, ‘Beyond the Pale’, including the  two above.

I’ll be there for the opening, ahead of my ‘folded eggs’ artefacts show at {Suite}, 13h00, Saturday, August 10 with coffee (for those who drink the terrible stuff ☕️ ), chocolate brownies and an artist floor talk .. come flay me with your questions!
