... the National Gallery of Australia has collected three complete series.


Censored’ was exhibited first at the Trust Waikato National Contemporary Art Award, Hamilton, New Zealand in 2008, then at Mary Newton Gallery, Wellington, New Zealand in 2009, and again at Suite Gallery, Wellington in 2013. The triptych appeared inside and on the cover of UK literary magazine GRANTA 105, Lost and Found, Spring 2009.
The National Gallery of Australia has collected the triptych, #1 of an edition of three, printed at the time of the first exhibition. 500 x 700 mm, image size.

 ‘Stopover’ was exhibited first at Pataka Art Gallery, Wellington, New Zealand in 2007, and the following year at Tauranga Art Gallery, and at Two Rooms Gallery, Auckland, New Zealand in 2012. The book was published by Victoria University Press, Wellington, New Zealand, and co-published by University of Hawai’i Press, Hawai’i, USA, and launched with grace and sustenance amongst the cane cutters and their families, and in the shade of a giant mango tree, by Bruce Connew, Catherine Griffiths, Brij Lal, Padma Lal, Jogindhar Singh Kanwal and Amarjit Kaur in Vatiyaka, Fiji, 2pm, Saturday, 25 August, 2007.
The National Gallery of Australia has collected the complete 61-image black and white series, #2 of an open edition, printed at the time of the first exhibition. 160 x 236 mm image size.

Kanaky’ toured New Zealand universities, through 1986, with the New Zealand Students’ Arts Council.
